Exhaust specialist Akrapovic has revealed the latest titanium exhaust system for the Mercedes- AMG C63 W205. This is not the first ever three valve system launched for AMG cars; instead, it is their second launch. This AMG C63 includes Akrapovic’s latest active-x connection.
Their efforts have resulted in an exhaust system that increases the sound of 4 liter V8 found in the C63. Their main motto was to offer the sound of an engine with more displacement. And this has been done with the support of flaps in the tailpipes as well as the flap in the X connection. With this, the driver gets three different sound level options to choose from. The sound options include the base V8 sound in comfort mode to the full-bodied baritone V8 sound in sports.
The Akrapovic Mercedes C63 AMG W205 has also been provided with the capability to open and close the flaps as per the driver’s decision and also enables the driver to adjust the speed of opening and closing the flaps in the X where the left and right exhaust pipes cross. All these features in the Mercedes C63 W205 given by the Akrapovic have enabled it to create multiple sound profiles that can be done from the driver's end. The driver is also provided with an Akrapovic remote that allows choosing from different sound options.
Talking about eh engineering, Akrapovic engineers spent more than 8 months to develop such system. Al this becomes possible with the support of extreme titanium which is 13kg lighter than the stock AMG.
