In the recent past, German tuners at ABT released an Audi RS7 Sportback and now they’re focusing wagon counterpart. The new RS6-R is finally all set to show off its aggressive stance that is due to a new body kit and many add-ons made from carbon fiber to keep weight in control.

ABT has fitted a spoiler lip at the front and a reworked diffuser at the back, together with fender inserts and side skirt attachments. There are no fewer than 10 new exterior components for the Mercedes-AMG E63 Estate competitor and the tuner’s own 22-inch alloy wheels to trim into a curved look. As an option, you will get aero wheels.

At the back of Audi, the RS-specific dual oval tips have given an aggressive quad setup with carbon tips as part of ABT’s stainless steel exhaust system. The high-speed Avant has a modified suspension to improve handling.

The twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 produces 730 hp and 920 Newton-meters (679 pound-feet) of torque. The super wagon RS6-R Avant takes only 3.2 seconds to achieve 62 mph (100 km/h) from 0mph which is 0.4s faster than the stock model. The highest speed has been enhanced to 199 mph (320 km/h) or 9 mph (15 km/h). The package costs €69,900 (about $75,600).

ABT has said only 125 RS6 Avants will be transformed into the RS6-R specification.

The Kempten-based aftermarket specialists have a strong feeling of tenderness for the RS6 Avant as the team has made a few outstanding machines in the recent past.
