Remember Mansory Gronos? That is the tuner's idea of what the Mercedes-AMG G63 should be like. It has had more than one iteration, but the latest is the most extreme. Again, it is Mansory’s style. If we talk about the past, then the tuner has modified almost every performance car or noteworthy luxury, including the Ford GT. But the results don’t always look good, and we find ourselves looking at Mansory's new project - dubbed Gronos 2021 - and wondering if there should be some limit on what kind of modifications people are allowed to carry out on their vehicles.

Some changes have been made, and we do not have any issue with them, but let's start with the styling, devoid of style though it may be. The rear and front wings are widened, and you will get enough forged carbon. The mirror caps are also finished with the same material, along with the entire hood, the front grille, the LED lightbox on the roof, and the headlights surround. There are more strakes and pointless vents at the rear, along with a forged carbon spare wheel cover.

The interior is reworked as usual. Tan leather mixes with carbon and aluminum upgrades for a genuinely ostentatious appearance.

The Mansory has turned this G-Wagen into a true monster, with its performance upgrades, although the styling is questionable. Thanks to new output figures of 838 horsepower and 737 lb-ft of torque, the Gronos 2021 can get from 0-62 mph in just 3.5 seconds. That is a territory, and with an upgraded exhaust system, everyone in the nearby vicinity will know you are packing some heat under the hood. We cannot think that this SUV’s classy British Racing Green finish doesn’t go with substantial sporty wheels. We are passing on this one.
