ABT Audi R8 Spyder Street and Race Body Kits

ABT, a German tuning company showcased two new body kits for Audi R8 Spyder. The new body kits are named as ‘Street’ and ‘Racer’. It can be easily understood with their names that they are designed to offer dual personality for the riders. For all the curious spectators, ABT Audi R8 Spyder package encompasses a configurator that helps you choose your personal choice.

Talking about the ABT ‘Race’ package, it can be called as the upgraded version of ‘Street’ package. The ‘Street’ package features the old air tanks, ABT grille and dual grille surrounds. At its back, it has a built-in lip spoiler, a larger rear diffuser and revised air vents.

The ‘Race’ package offers a front lip associated with side blades build with carbon fiber with front flicks. At its rear, it features an additional carbon fiber shelf along with flicks available both in the front and rear of the wheel.

Apart from this, the ABT is also working on the powertrain. By default, Audi’s 5.2-litre V10 engine churns the factory fitted power of 540 hp.  With the inclusion of an ABT ECU tune, an additional 70 hp has been provided to the machine with the total figure for the R8 Spyder to an R8 V10 Plus-rivalling 610 hp. With the installation of a new exhaust system,  the ABT becomes even capable to boost the power further to 630hp.
